The switch panel can be supplied within an aesthetically pleasing enclosure and mounted in a convenient space within the vehicle cab, or as an open chassis type that is directly mounted into the DIN radio slot if space allows.
Instead of flying leads the control unit utilises an array of terminal blocks for electrical connection, affording more flexibility when space is at a premium.
System Operation
The system operates in the same manner as the standard Midi Controller, with all of the features and benefits, except that the switch panel and control unit have been specifically designed so that they can be split apart to facilitate mounting in different locations in the vehicle. This has been achieved by introducing a RS485 communications link between the two units allowing them to be mounted any reasonable distance apart within a vehicle.
